Activities of the Christian Resource Centre

In order to support local churches and Christian organizations in Northern Kenya, the Christian Resource Centre will provide materials and basic hands-on training opportunities to local believers with a passion for God and a heart for ministry among their own people.  This will consist of:

  • Running regular leadership training seminars, youth camps/ventures and workshops
  • Preparing support resources for Christians working with churches in Northern Kenya
  • Running short courses on basic contextualised theology and discipleship
  • Running mission activities with our partner churches in Northern Kenya

Through these activities we will aim to meet the following objectives:

  1. More pastoralists reached with the gospel through our joint activities with the evangelical churches working in the region
  2. At least 100 local pastoralist Christians with a clear vision and certainty of their personal hope in Jesus, trained for practical ministry among their own people by 2010
  3. At least five local cell groups started by local believers in each of the ten communities we are currently working with by 2012
