Moyale District

Location:                       Eastern Province
District Headquarters:      Moyale (1050 km from Nairobi, 870 km from Nyahururu)

Moyale is a new district recently hived off from Marsabit.  Marsabit/Moyale was ranked as the second poorest rural district in Kenya, with 88% of the population living below the poverty line.

Moyale town is the main entrance into the Republic of Ethiopia. 

The communities in the district include Boran, Gabra, Bulji, Watta, Ajuran, Garri and Sakuye.
