A Wet Start

07 January, 2010

Following the long drought, we are delighted to report that rain has come to Kenya at last.

Since Christmas Eve it has been raining nearly every day, sometimes very heavily. Our water tanks at school are all full and overflowing, ensuring water rationing will not be necessary this term.

The cabbages planted by the students last term are flourishing, and the football field has turned into a lake!

Term began on Monday 4th and we are glad that almost all the students arrived on time, despite the difficult travelling conditions caused by the wet weather. We now look forward to the arrival of our new class of Form One students, who are due to join us on 25th January.
