More from World Challenge

As well as building a water tank, our visitors from Watford Boys' Grammar School were involved in many other activities during their time at Kisima.

Some of the first team did a valuable job of fixing computers, while members of the second team brightened our gate with a great mural.

There was also plenty of time for interaction with the Kisima students, in sport, in clubs and during free time.

Each team spent their Saturday in a trip outside school, accompanied by a few Kisima students. The first stop was Thomson's Falls, where those who felt like it got very close to the waterfall and ended up extremely wet! Next came the hippo pool and then a visit to one of the local primary schools from which a few of our students come. The first group also got to see the home of one of these students, though unfortunately none of her family were at home. It still gave a good insight into the background of our students and the difference that the chance for education could make to a family's future.
