Clowning Around

On Friday morning Kisima was visited by an Italian volunteer clown troop of eight clowns. Their coming to Kisima was organised by St Martins' organisation, based in Nyahururu .

The company biweekly visits a local children's hospital in Italy cheering up and entertaining and they also went to perform in affected areas after the recent Italian earthquake. They spend their holidays, as they all have separate day jobs quite different from clowning, touring the world visiting places such as Palestine, India and Kenya performing in schools and hospitals.

Their visit was much appreciated at Kisima and everyone spent the morning in fits of giggles. Many students were cajoled into joining in on stage and even the teachers had a go at acting and making fools of themselves, much to the delight of the rest of the school.

It was definitely a morning that no-one present will forget in a hurry and the numerous pictures taken provide a happy memory of what occurred. Many thanks from all at Kisima to both the performers and organisers that made such a light hearted, energetic and inspiring show possible.
